    Job Summary We are seeking a Remote Part-Time Psychiatrist (1099) licensed in South Carolina and North Carolina to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment via telehealth. This role is ideal for a psychiatrist who values flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful patient care while working within a collaborative behavioral health team supported by dedicated administrative, scheduling, and billing services.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Care

    Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments

    Provide medication management and ongoing treatment planning

    Treat a diverse patient population across the lifespan (or specify age group if preferred)

    Monitor treatment response, side effects, and safety concerns

    Coordinate care with therapists, PMHNPs, primary care providers, and care coordinators

    Provide crisis assessment and appropriate clinical escalation when necessary

    Telehealth & Documentation

    Deliver services through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms

    Complete timely, accurate EMR documentation and chart closure

    Adhere to payer, regulatory, and state practice requirements

    Participate in quality improvement or case consultation as needed

    Minimum Qualifications

    Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO)

    Active, unrestricted medical licenses in South Carolina and North Carolina

    Active DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances via telehealth in both states

    Experience providing psychiatric medication management

    Comfort delivering care in a fully remote telehealth environment

    Professional liability insurance meeting organizational requirements

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in outpatient community mental health or telepsychiatry

    Comfort treating children/adolescents and adults

    Multi-state licensure beyond SC & NC

    Experience collaborating with PMHNPs and therapists in team-based care

    Productivity & Scheduling

    Flexible part-time scheduling based on provider availability

    Consistent weekly clinic hours preferred for continuity of care

    Administrative team support for scheduling, billing, and credentialing

    Competitive per-visit or hourly 1099 compensation
