Site Security Field Technician - Level 3

Remote Technology Security Services offers a variety of safety and security services to our customers including video management, access control, gates and barriers, intrusion and fire alarms, fiber optics, wireless and ethernet networks. We are currently looking for a Level 3 Field Technician to add to our team.
FOR LEVEL 3 TECHNICIANS, WE LOOK FOR THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
Clock in on Time Clock Plus
Enter time reports in CW Mobile App
Safely and correctly use standard power tools
Choose the correct drill bit for an application
Know safe ladder setup – Create a BASIC set of rules
Practice reading comprehension - Manuals, maps, engineering documents, work order
Practice safety basics
Know types and uses of fire extinguishers
Be familiar with machine operations – field experience, vendor training, youtube
Work with concrete - form building, mix and pour
Correctly terminate and test Cat5 and Cat6 cables - Create a patch cable
Correctly land cables in terminal blocks
Correctly splice cables
Correctly connect flexible conduit and ensure water tight junction boxes.
Workshop
OSHA 10 Certificate
Configure a camera – bench test w/ checklist, be able to tweak after installation
Install access control door hardware - strike/maglock/eeb/pir/reader
Drywall/frame cutting
Install cameras – field experience, wikipedia, youtube, IPVM
Know camera mount engineering (photo examples) - Beam clamps, strut, L brackets, floor flange, parapet, sheet metal wall, concrete, drywall anchors, ceiling tile cutting
Know how to use point-plus battery tool, proprietary software, wireless Avigilon dongle, pinpoint adapter
Proper Field of View adjustments
Know how to use a multimeter – resistance, power, continuity
Install a TV – field experience
Install a PC
Be familiar with Conduit bending/accessories – field experience, youtube
Configure a VMS server – bench test w/ checklist, be able to tweak after installation
Configure a radio – bench test w/ checklist, tweak after installation
Know basic circuit logic
Install intrusion detection system
Install fire alarms
Have basic networking knowledge
Install gate operators – field experience
Be familiar with access control panel wiring and be able to troubleshoot - field experience/wikipedia
Term/test fiber – field experience
Troubleshoot camera - field experience/wikipedia
Be well versed in wire management -field experience
Install turnstile and troubleshoot
Configure analog cameras and troubleshooting - access PTZ controls
There is also opportunity for growth into a Master Field Technician with the combination of extensive field experience and resulting capabilities, and certifications at Remote Technology Security Services.
Compensation: $25-28 based on experience and qualifications
Benefits include 10 paid holidays, 1-4 weeks vacation based on length of service, dental, optional medical, and quarterly incentive bonus plan after 90 days. Retirement savings plan available after 2 years.
