    WE ARE LOOKING FOR FULL-TIME REGIONAL RD CONSULTANT FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Review and interpret company policy, regulations and dietary standards to facilities. support company efforts to standardize policy and processes.
    • Assess and monitor dietary services systems and assist facilities in identifying problems and working towards solutions by offering alternatives through the consulting process.
    • Review and approve menus and monitor adherence to company menu program.
    • Review monthly food cost report, assist facilities in identifying problem areas and finding solutions to ensure budgetary compliance
    • Routinely inspects the dietary area for compliance with current applicable regulations and standards.
    • Ensures adherence to state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures; HIPAA confidentiality standards of resident and facility information; Infection Control, Universal Precautions, OSHA and safety standards; established safety precautions and regulations in the performance of tasks and the use of equipment and supplies.
    • Assist in training and development of Dietary Managers by conduct training meetings both facility based and regionally.
    • Review QAPI programs and offer suggestions for improvement.
    • Monitor compliance with corporate service programs and vendor compliance.
    • Participate in Regional Meetings and other meetings as required (Pre-survey, Strategy, etc.)
    • Participate in survey management and be present in the facility during survey.
    • May maintain reference material necessary for complying with current standards and regulations, and that will provide assistance in maintaining quality service.
    • May perform day-to-day departmental duties as needed.
    • Perform other related duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Currently credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN). Licensed to practice in the State where employed
    • Direct dietary experience in the gerontological field with responsibilities in leadership roles.
    • ability to travel to all locations.
    • Previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment required.
    • Knowledge of equipment set up, maintenance and use.
    • Must successfully pass background check, health exams, and any other pre-employment requirements.
    • Sufficient computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and/or Internet to perform required duties.
