    Our rapidly-growing construction company is in need of a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring our client’s dreams to life! You’ll serve as our primary architectural drafter and produce original, computer-generated designs in 2D and 3D. Additional responsibilities include meeting with clients, integrating feedback, and revising designs as requested. Communication skills are a must in this role, as you’ll be regularly communicating the design progress to the construction team. Applicants should be experienced designer who enjoy highly detailed work, are passionate about working on a project from start to finish, and want to grow their career in the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Utilize computer software to generate 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the project specifications • Revise designs according to feedback from clients and construction managers • Collaborate with construction team members to establish budgets and timelines for the designs • Background in renewable energy and interconnection • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices • Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD • Experience with system design and layout design • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant codes and standards • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications • Knowledge of electrical components, equipment, and materials • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and collaboration abilities • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) • Perform calculations and analysis to determine system requirements Qualifications: • Proficient in using architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion • Be informed about the latest trends in design software and have a good understanding of the architectural design industry as a whole • Have great attention to detail, with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills • At least 2 years of experience in architectural design • Background in renewable energy and interconnection • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices • Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD • Experience with system design and layout design • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant codes and standards • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications • Knowledge of electrical components, equipment, and materials • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and collaboration abilities • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) • Perform calculations and analysis to determine system requirements Compensation: $28 - $34 hourly
