Remodeling Estimator – Commission-Based Position Greensboro, NC | Triad Area For over 40 years, KC’s Improvement & Construction Co., Inc. has served the Triad as a trusted design-build renovation contractor, specializing in custom remodels, additions, and structural improvements. Our long-standing reputation is built on craftsmanship, integrity, and a commitment to exceptional client service. We are looking for a knowledgeable and driven Remodeling Estimator to join our team on a commission-only basis (W-2 or Independent Contractor). This role is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, experienced in residential renovation estimating, and motivated by a results-based compensation structure where earning potential is directly tied to performance. Responsibilities: What You’ll Do • Conduct on-site visits to gather measurements, photos, and project details • Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using company tools and software (JobTread, Chief Architect, etc.) • Present proposals to clients and assist with material and design selections • Collaborate with project managers and designers to ensure estimates align with budgets and project goals • Follow up on proposals to support client decisions and help close projects What We Provide • Qualified homeowner leads — no cold prospecting required • Access to the JobTread estimating system , templates, and historical pricing data • Office support for scheduling, documentation, and client communication • Strong branding, marketing, and a 40+ year local reputation to back your success Compensation: • This is a commission-only role. You will earn a percentage of gross profit on signed contracts. • Typical range: 5-8% of Contract Value, depending on project type and volume. • Average contract value: $75,000 – $150,000. • Estimated annual potential: $60,000 – $150,000+ , based on performance. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in residential construction, estimating, or design/build projects • In-depth knowledge of remodeling practices, building codes, and structural components • Strong communication and presentation skills with a client-focused approach • Highly organized, detail-oriented , and self-motivated • Proven ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills • Skilled in material take-offs , compiling detailed specifications , and preparing Compensation: $60,000 - $150,000 yearly average earnings
