Sales account manager
Rent Butter, Inc. is a SaaS resident screening and verifications platform with an emphasis on mobile-first technology providing in-depth consumer behavioral analytics, background data, and automated verification tools for the rental housing markets supporting both conventional and affordable properties.
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Manager professional with a customer-first mentality to join our team. This function is critical to our business’s success and will be responsible for frontline sales and developing customer relationships that promote retention and loyalty. Here’s what you’ll do as part of the team:
o Conduct dynamic product demonstrations and presentations for potential clients to highlight features, integrations, and unique value propositions of Rent Butter.
You will be responsible for developing and managing a robust sales pipeline, nurturing leads from initial contact through successful closing of deals.
Actively engage with prospective customers via various sales channels (online, phone, in-person) to understand their needs and tailor demonstrations to address specific pain points.
Provide thorough follow-up after demos to address any outstanding questions, offer additional resources in order to move deals forward and strengthen customer relationships.
o Ensure Rent Butter customers maximize the value they are getting out of the product.
o Ruthlessly prioritize the most impactful work.
o Own the role while deeply collaborating with the rest of the organization.
Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:
o Develop and execute strategies to drive new business, including identifying and targeting prospective clients.
o Conduct presentations and meetings with clients and prospective clients to promote the company’s products and services.
o Act as the main point of contact for all account management matters, ensuring clients' needs and expectations are met.
o Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
o Stay up to date with industry trends and market conditions to inform sales and account management strategies.
o Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
o Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
o Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o You’re not afraid to get scrappy in a small environment and use your creative problem-solving skills to deliver results.
o Strong familiarity with MS Office (primarily Word and Excel).
o Experienced user of HubSpot, Salesforce CRMs
o Minimum 2 years’ experience in Sales, Account Management or Customer Success role(s).
o Comfortable with the ever-changing priorities, deadlines, and job requirements of a rapidly growing small company.
These are the preferred qualifications:
o BA/BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
o Experience in a hybrid sales and account management role.
o Proven work experience in sales and/or account management, preferably in the multifamily industry.
o Minimum 2 years’ experience in the property management industry is a strong plus.
o Experience working with Property Management Software Systems (PMS), Rent Manager, RealPage, Yardi, MRI, Entrata, etc., or similar applications for configuring integration settings is preferred but not required.
o Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
