About the Role
AT Analytical, an SSA company, is hiring a Repair/Certification Technician to test, certify, calibrate, and maintain the controlled environments and critical equipment that keep science and patient care running. You will be the trusted expert who walks into a pharmaceutical cleanroom, a research lab, or a hospital and certifies that it is safe to do the work. This is hands-on, customer-facing field service in a highly regulated industry where precision and reliability are everything — and where the technician who shows up is the last line of defense between our customers and a failed audit, a contaminated batch, or downed equipment.
What You'll Do
- Perform testing, certification, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance on biosafety cabinets (BSCs), cleanrooms, autoclaves/sterilizers, fume hoods, and related laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical systems in the field, using multimeters, hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and electrical schematics.
- Represent AT Analytical professionally on-site at pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, laboratory, and research customers.
- Complete accurate, on-time service reports and certification documentation in line with regulatory and company standards.
- Identify additional customer needs and service opportunities, contributing to revenue growth through exceptional service.
- Work toward and maintain required technical certifications, including BSC certification (NSF 49), cleanroom testing, and autoclave preventive maintenance.
- Operate safely and independently while managing a travel-based schedule across the Midwest region.
Success in the First 12 Months
An A-player in this seat will:
- Complete all required technical certifications and qualifications within 12 months, including BSC certification, cleanroom testing, and autoclave preventive maintenance.
- Maintain customer satisfaction scores above company standards while representing AT Analytical professionally on every call.
- Submit accurate, on-time service reports with less than 5% documentation corrections required.
- Work independently and reliably in the field, building lasting trust with customers across the territory.
- Contribute to revenue growth by delivering exceptional service and surfacing additional customer needs.
What You Bring
- Experience: 2+ years (5+ ideal) in field service, biomedical, calibration, or industrial equipment service.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Comfort working independently in a field service environment with up to 75% overnight travel.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and use multimeters, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds and work in mechanical spaces.
- Professionalism and customer focus — strong communication skills and a service-first mindset.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Midwest.
