THIS IS NOT A CNC POSITION - CONVENTIONAL MANUAL LATHE, MANUAL MILL AND ID/OD GRINDING

This is for LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY. NO ONE FROM OUT OF STATE - must be within 20-30 MILES OF VAN NUYS!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Machining various steel and aluminum aircraft parts on manual lathes, mills, ID/OD grinders, and other manual machining equipment.

• Holding tight tolerances (+/- .0005).

• Low production, prototype environment, strong attention to details.

• Read and interpret shop routings / travelers, and interpret engineering drawings.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High Energy with a positive attitude (self starter)

• 7+ years minimum experience

• Proficient on manual lathes and manual mills.

• Holding tight tolerances (+/- .0005).

• Skilled with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

• Effectively communicate in English; written, reading, and verbal skills.

• Flexible, eager to learn and willing to be crossed trained.

• We are looking for a Team player that can be possibly be groomed for a lead position.

   

  EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Graduate or GED.

• Exposed to manufacturing/machine shop /AVIATION environments.

EQUIPMENT USED:

Basic hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and tooling. CMM, hydraulic and/or mechanical manufacturing equipment, various types of grinders, sanders, mills, lathes, hand air tools, misc. measuring equipment, personal safety devices.
