THE ROLE: The Global Sr. Technical Product Manager will be responsible for defining the future of In-line measurement product line of Repligen’s Bioprocess Analytics business unit through strengthening the current product portfolio and diversification through innovation of new technologies. The ideal candidate must be an individual contributor but with strong product and people leadership skills that can work effectively in a matrix organization. This role will be a key contributor to the Analytics business unit and be an integral part of the Analytics Leadership team to bring the overall growth of the business unit to the next level with their vision and experience.
This role will report to directly to the Sr. VP, Bioprocess Analytics
Responsibilities
SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Life Cycle Management. Able to transform performance data and market information into knowledge to optimize profit and drive growth of in-market product, including extending application usage, go-to-market strategy, pricing and discounting strategus, manufacturing improvements and obsolescence strategies including the supply and demand opportunities.
Product Commercialization Leadership. Leads multi-functional teams to prepare and launch products ensuring proper marketing, availability, quality, admin of product info data in systems, service support, tech support, applications, sales training and incentives, regulatory certifications, etc. Manages successful product launches that meets schedule requirements, market demands and financial goals. Uses accurate data to properly manage risks and influence/make decisions during stage gate reviews. Business strategy and Financial Analysis. Understands financial and business terms and fundamentals. Applies a good sense of business analysis to all decision-making, including strategic planning, project prioritization and external negotiations, including inlicensing/acquisition/OEM.
Market & Competitor Research Analysis. Actively assess, analyze and interprets market data including competitive information to determine market attractiveness. Constantly understands various market dynamics, including channels, customer segments and needs, competitors and technology shifts and how to leverage information to drive optimal business growth.
Customer Insights and Advocacy. Proactively asking and listening to customers desires and needs that triggers their purchasing decisions. Act as the customer advocate and uses this advocacy to develop products that will meet the customer’s requirements. Effective communication and messaging. Able to articulate product and portfolio information to stakeholders. Proactively engages with Marketing to develop and execute timely communications deliverables that best meet business and marketing goals and objectives effectively utilizing all communication assets and materials. Able to communicate with all levels of leadership and is sensitive to non-verbal communication.
Leadership and Influence Management in a Matrix Organization. Organizationally agile and can navigate through organizational mazes with ease and comfort. Influence different teams and can get the most and best out of the people he/she works with by setting and communicating goals, measures accomplishments, holds people accountable, and gives useful feedback to individuals that do not report to him/her. Writes and presents well; maintains effective relationships with higher management.
