Primary responsibilities include:
Qualifications
Minimum BS or MS in cell biology, chemical engineering, biochemistry, and related field with experience in mammalian cell culture (2+ years).
Experience with cell counters and metabolites analyzers preferred.
Previous hands-on experience with shaker flasks and bench scale bioreactors is required.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques, cell culture processes, and protein analytics
Expertise in setting up lab and pilot scale bioreactors, culturing cells and optimizing feeding and perfusion strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand and to contribute with novel solutions.
The ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams.
Excellent oral and written communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external team members.
Understanding of membrane-based filtration including hollow fiber is a plus
Must be able to life 25 pounds on occasion.
Must be able to work in a laboratory environment
