Job Description
KXAS-TV (NBC 5) and KXTX-TV (Telemundo 39), the NBCUniversal duopoly serving the Dallas–Fort Worth market, are seeking a passionate and versatile News Reporter to join our newsroom team. This position is an exciting opportunity to report for two powerhouse stations with a commitment to delivering trusted, impactful journalism to one of the largest and most diverse audiences in the country.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating content that informs, engages, and connects with viewers on linear television, streaming platforms, and social media. The role requires a storyteller who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and who can seamlessly adapt reporting styles for broadcast, digital, and mobile-first consumption.
Because the DFW market is home to a large Spanish-speaking population, Spanish/English bilingual skills are strongly preferred. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve audiences in both languages, helping extend our reach and deepen our community connections. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reporting live from the field, producing digital exclusives, and leveraging social media to engage with viewers in real time. In addition, a reporter here has the opportunity to work with some of the best photographers and producers in the country, so the ability to collaborate is a must.
