Job Description
The Financial and Enterprise Reporting Developer will support the PBGC Financial Management Technology Services (FMTS) program by developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting capabilities across the Financial Management Systems (FMS). This role ensures accurate, reliable, and timely delivery of reports and data extracts to support the Financial Operations Division (FOD) and enterprise stakeholders. The developer will work with system accountants, business users, and IT teams to analyze reporting needs, design solutions, and implement effective reporting tools.
Financial and Enterprise Reporting -
The candidate will support the production of effective and accurate reports from multiple systems. While established reports exist in the systems, the data supporting those reports and other data conditions may require analysis which is essential. One-time extracts, queries and other ad-hoc support is required to provide reporting outside of established reports.
There are approximately 75 custom oracle reports and Financial Statement Generator reports currently in use.
Tier 3 technical support to help the user base with reports issues.
Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards within the FMS environment to support financial and enterprise reporting requirements.
Support reconciliation of data between system reports and underlying databases to ensure accuracy. Conduct ad-hoc queries, one-time extracts, and custom data requests to meet business and audit needs.
Analyze reporting requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
Optimize report performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Ensure reporting solutions comply with client enterprise architecture, IT security, and governance standards.
Document reporting processes, data definitions, and report specifications for knowledge transfer and audit purposes.
Collaborate with Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to ensure reporting aligns with ongoing operations, releases, and modernization initiatives.
Provide operational support during peak reporting periods such as month-end reconciliations, fiscal year-end close, and premium filing seasons.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
Agile SCRUM delivery
Familiarity with technologies such as Oracle, Azure DevOps, and enterprise data modeling is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and non-technical business users.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reporting tasks simultaneously.
