    The HR Assistant supports the human resources department. In this position, you will manage employee records, organize and update files, update the HR database, process employees requests, and prepare reports. The HR Assistant will answer phone calls, handle scheduling interviews and perform other administrative tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in human resources.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Exemplify the Rescue Mission Statement of Faith and Code of Ethics

    2. Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information.

    3. Patient and loving attitude

    4. Excellent communication and organizational skills

    5. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer skills as needed

    6. Ability to multi-task, providing attention to detail and accurate documentation

    7. Ability to work with a team approach

    8. Knowledge of Human Capital Management Systems (HCM)

    9. General knowledge of employment laws and best practices

    JOB DUTIES | 1. | Organize, compile, update employee records (soft and hard copies) and documentation | 2. | Assist with the recruitment process - Collaborate with HR Director to post job ads on Human Capital Management hiring module and process incoming resumes, conduct phone screens, and reference checks | 3. | Assist in payroll preparation | 5. | Help organize and manage new employee orientation, and training programs | 6. | Assist in explaining and providing information on employee benefits, programs, and education | 7. | Assist new employees with electronic enrollment into benefit plans | 8. | Provide administrative support to the CEO as requested

    | 9. | Update HR databases (e.g. new hires, separations, PTO, etc.) | 10. | Working knowledge of Rescue Mission policy and procedure to process employees’ requests and provide relevant information | 11. | Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training seminars | 12. | Manage the department’s phone calls address queries accordingly | 13. | Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications | 14. | Perform other administrative projects and support for Rescue Mission events as requested.
