    Registered Nurses serve our community-at-large and the organization by providing direct impact patient care. Collaborates with all clinic team members, mental health providers and volunteers. Reports to the Director of Healthcare Services and Volunteer Medical Director.

    Hours of Availability:

    Part-Time with Flexible Schedule Monday, Tuesday 8-5, Wednesday 8-12

    OR

    Wednesday 12-5, Thursday, Friday 8-5

    Compensation: $22.00 – 25.00/hour (non-exempt/hourly)

    · Strong listening and communication skills to execute instructions and exhibit professionalism.

    · Strong organizational skills to assist with multi-tasking daily assignments and special projects.

    Job specific qualifications:

    ·RN VA licensure; working towards licensure in State of VA (may be accepted) Ability to greet and facilitate registration of patients.

    · Ability to relate to health care professionals and agencies on behalf of the clinic.

    · Ability to speak at churches and organizations about the work of the Mission and its medical clinic as coordinated through the development office.

    Career Summary (not all-inclusive list):

    Clinic RNs must be able to maintain HIPAA/confidentiality standards while making autonomous decisions that directly impact patient care. Manages the flow of operations by triaging patients, managing respite, ensuring all physician orders are complete and assisting other team members as needed. Triage patients for medical, dental, mental health and optometry clinics. Assist with clinical procedures, drug screens and medications, intakes, discharge, and respite processes. Assist with maintaining supplies. Chart/lab order management with timely and accurate documentation. Communicate necessary information effectively and efficiently. Participate in Rescue Mission events, meetings, and seminars as requested.

    All Rescue Mission of Roanoke team members may be asked to complete other duties as assigned by the leadership/management. Expectation is to complete these assignments as requested.
