The Pantry Truck Driver is responsible for overseeing daily donation pick-ups, representing the Rescue Mission in the community, building relationships and appropriately thanking the donors. This position works closely with participants in the Mission’s programs and many volunteers. The Pantry Truck Driver assists in the daily operation of the Mission Pantry executing tasks lists and fulfilling orders, as well as maintaining proper inventory records for perishable and non-perishable product (donations received and product distributed). The Pantry Truck Driver to assists in preparation of Manna Mission Ministry’s food box distribution program. The Pantry Truck Driver reports to and is supervised by the Pantry Team Leader.
QUALIFICATIONS
Evidence of positive Christian Witness and lifestyle.
Active Driver's License
Patient and caring attitude.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Basic knowledge of Inventory Management and Recordkeeping.
Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a regular basis.
Understanding of volunteer engagement and ability to utilize and appreciate volunteers in daily tasks.
BUSINESS HOURS: Monday - Saturday 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM, EST Compensation: $16.48 per hour
JOB DUTIES
Volunteer Engagement is a strategy that builds the capacity of the Rescue Mission through employee and volunteer partnership. It is built on the development and implementation of high-impact, meaningful volunteer opportunities that create positive outcomes for the organization and the volunteer.
The Pantry Driver will work alongside program participants and volunteers.
Conduct daily pick-ups from local, private, and corporate donors.
Assist in the daily operation of the warehouse.
Inventory; warehouse housekeeping; stocking and organizing the warehouse.
Attend meetings as scheduled
Weekly Food Service Meeting Weekly Pantry Meeting.
Assists in maintaining appropriate records for inventory and donations received.
Assist in the weekly preparation of the Manna Mission Ministry food box distribution.
Work Saturday distribution as needed.
Participate in on-call rotation.
Other duties as assigned.
