    Job Description

    ARPA-H is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Research & Innovation Opportunities Coordinator to support its mission of advancing transformative health research.

    In this role, you will:

    • Identify, evaluate, and manage opportunities for high-impact research projects.
    • Act as a central hub for innovative ideas, partnerships, and funding initiatives.
    • Help turn bold concepts into actionable programs that generate measurable impact on human health outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assess Opportunities: Review ideas and proposals, evaluating alignment with ARPA-H priorities. Prepare concise summaries for leadership review.
    • Manage Project Pipeline: Maintain an active portfolio of potential initiatives, track progress, and ensure alignment with mission, funding priorities, and timelines.
    • Engage Stakeholders: Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external collaborators to promote innovative solutions.
    • Optimize Processes: Develop and refine workflows for submitting, reviewing, and managing research proposals and opportunities. Ensure smooth coordination across teams.
    • Analyze Proposals: Conduct preliminary evaluations and coordinate with experts for in-depth technical review.
    • Report Outcomes: Track project metrics and long-term impact. Provide insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree in business, management, journalism, technical, or related field with relevant experience; Master’s or higher preferred.
    • 2+ years in project coordination, innovation management, or similar roles in healthcare, research, or technology.
    • Experience establishing workflows and improving collaboration.
    • Familiarity with research funding processes in government or grant-based organizations.
    • Skilled in managing project timelines and dynamic pipelines.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Professional writing skills, including preparing reports and presentations.
    • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively under pressure.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Knowledge of federal funding mechanisms, including other transaction proposals and contracts.
    • Experience managing large-scale proposal or innovation pipelines.
    • Previous experience coordinating initiatives for government agencies, non-profits, or research organizations.

    Job Type: Full-Time
    Location: 1301 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20005
    Work Model: Hybrid (up to 60% remote)
    Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible for a Public Trust clearance
    Compensation: Up to $135K/year (commensurate with experience)
