    Job Description

    We're looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Research Study Assistant III to join our Sleep Center in Novi, United States. In this role, you will provide essential support to our research team by coordinating sleep studies, managing patient interactions, and maintaining accurate documentation. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical research initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, compliance, and patient care.     • Coordinate and schedule sleep study appointments with efficiency, ensuring optimal patient flow and resource allocation
    • Collect, record, and manage patient data with meticulous attention to detail, adhering to all HIPAA regulations and research protocols
    • Assist in the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of polysomnography (PSG) equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
    • Conduct patient intake interviews, obtain informed consent, and explain study procedures in a clear, supportive, and empathetic manner
    • Maintain comprehensive and organized study documentation, including patient files, consent forms, and research records with accuracy and precision
    • Monitor patient compliance with study protocols and follow up on any deviations or concerns in a timely and professional manner
    • Prepare study materials, equipment, and patient rooms prior to scheduled appointments, ensuring all resources are readily accessible
    • Assist with data entry into electronic health records (EHR) and research databases with accuracy and efficiency, maintaining data integrity
    • Support the research team with administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, report preparation, and general coordination
    • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and research staff to address questions, resolve issues, and foster collaborative relationships
    • Ensure all study materials and equipment are properly organized, maintained, and readily accessible for team members
    • Participate in ongoing training to maintain current knowledge of sleep medicine protocols, research best practices, and regulatory requirements
    • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical research environment while maintaining attention to detail
    • Prioritize patient safety and well-being in all interactions and study-related activities

    Required Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in clinical research coordination, patient support roles, or related healthcare settings
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
    • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and research databases
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate, detailed, and organized documentation
    • Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations and unwavering commitment to patient confidentiality
    • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, physicians, and research teams
    • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
    • Professional demeanor with the ability to interact compassionately and empathetically with patients
    • Problem-solving skills and ability to address challenges proactively

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience working in a sleep center or clinical research environment
    • Knowledge of polysomnography (PSG) procedures and sleep medicine terminology
    • Phlebotomy certification or hands-on experience with patient specimen collection
    • Experience with research data management systems and analytical tools
    • Customer service experience in a healthcare setting
    • Familiarity with clinical research protocols and regulatory requirements
    • Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRP) or equivalent credential
    • Experience with patient scheduling systems and appointment management software
    • Understanding of sleep disorders and sleep medicine principles
