Part time Night Auditor/Front Desk
SUMMARY: Residence Inn by Marriott Providence/Coventry is seeking a Night Auditor. Hours are 11PM-7AM. Greets, registers and assigns rooms to guests
Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity
Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints
Monitors room availability
Performs all other duties of a Guest Service Agent
Uses computer Property Management System to run daily back-up and audit, and also running required daily reports including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, housekeeping report and other important hotel paperwork
Submits reports to corporate office as appropriate
Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis
Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and implementation of procedures
Gets the breakfast buffet ready for breakfast, including equipment placement, putting out cold items and condiments and making coffee. Replenishes breakfast items as needed once it begins
May be required to make management decisions in manager’s absence
All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: high school diploma or equivalent; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to hotel guests and employees. MATH ABILITY: Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, orally, or diagram dorm. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
