Dabri, Inc. is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer/Inspector to support a restoration project. This is a part-time role ideal for a professional with strong inspection and construction management experience, particularly in the public sector. The position involves overseeing restoration work, ensuring contract compliance, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, and providing detailed documentation throughout the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary on-site representative for the project, monitoring contractor activities for compliance with project plans, specs, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct daily site inspections and field observations to ensure quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
- Review and process RFIs, submittals, daily reports, progress payments, and change orders.
- Maintain accurate and timely field documentation, including inspection reports, photos, and logs.
- Coordinate with public agencies, contractors, and consultants to address and resolve issues promptly.
- Track project schedule milestones and assist in assessing delays or deviations from the work plan.
- Attend regular site meetings and prepare progress updates for project stakeholders.
- Support close-out and punch list activities, ensuring timely and complete project delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of construction inspection, resident engineering, or field engineering experience on public works, facilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Prior experience with restroom or facility renovation/rehabilitation is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and inspection procedures.
- Proven experience preparing inspection reports, change documentation, and managing site conditions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Local Bay Area candidates are strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- PMP, PE, or LEED GA certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with public agency projects (City of San Francisco, SFO, EBMUD, BART, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Bluebeam, or other construction management software.
