    Job Description

    ** Program Summary**

    St. Joseph Center will provide interim housing opportunities to unhoused adults in a safe, private, and secured environment. Program participants will be empowered to build stability and self-sufficiency while bridging from homelessness to permanent housing. Each site will offer a variety of supportive services including case coordination, meals, and health checks by nursing staff. Sites will be fully staffed and operate seven days per week, 24 hours per day with on-site security services.

    ** _Essential Duties & Responsibilities _**

    The Resident Monitor’s duties and responsibilities include:

    Direct Client Service (90%):

    • Responsible for the care, welfare, safety, and security of participants during their stay
    • Ensure fair procedures and practices, as well as safety within the site
    • Provide information and referrals to program participants
    • Distribute clothing, linens, toiletries, and any other items supplied by the program as needed
    • Report any maintenance or janitorial needs to the Shift Manager or Project Coordinator in a timely manner
    • Conduct site, neighborhood and perimeter checks
    • Handle all emergencies by contacting appropriate staff/agencies
    • Report any incidents and complete incident report
    • Conduct business according with employee handbook exercising judgement and serving the best interests of the agency and community

    General (10%):

    • Assist with office-related tasks as needed
    • Attend all mandatory meetings, workshops, and trainings
    • Perform other general duties as needed

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm in stressful situations
    • Ability to work with people of diverse social backgrounds
    • Ability to take direction and work as a member of a team
    • High level of flexibility and ability to prioritize appropriately
    • Ability to present oneself and the agency professionally to internal and external audiences
    • Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs

    Experience:

    • Experience working with unhoused individuals is preferred
    • Experience in customer service is preferred
    • Experience working in a residential setting is preferred

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Direct Reports:

    • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Computer Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and widely supported internet browsers.

    • None

    Travel Requirements:

    • Access to reliable transportation.

    Additional Information

    Status: Temporary - Full-Time (6 months)

    Pay Range: $19.46 - $20.40/hourly

    At St. Joseph Center, pay ranges are set using the best available market data for the job at the required location. To determine salary for a candidate, we consider the candidate's skills and capabilities for the job compared with expectations for the position.
