Some shops hand you a crew and then second-guess every call you make. That's not how we run. At Specialized Electric, the foreman runs the job. Clear expectations, a direct chain of command, and a company that backs your calls in the field.
Specialized Electric Company is a family-owned electrical contractor in Golden, serving the Denver Metro since 2002. Kent and Jenny built this company on quality workmanship and referrals, the kind of reputation that only comes from work that passes inspection the first time. We run residential, commercial, and industrial projects, and our residential crews need a leader who holds the same standard we do.
What You'll Get:
- $37-$43/hr depending on experience and qualifications
- Bonus opportunities
- 100% company-paid medical insurance
- Dental and vision plans available
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid holidays, PTO, and profit sharing
- Tuition reimbursement and paid professional development
- Employee discount and referral program
- Safety equipment provided
What You'll Be Doing:
- This is a working foreman role: you're on the tools with your crew, not running the job from the truck
- Leading and mentoring a crew of electricians, setting clear expectations and holding the line on accountability
- Planning and running daily jobsite activities so the job stays productive and on schedule
- Reading blueprints, layouts, and specs and executing with minimal oversight
- Overseeing installation and troubleshooting of residential electrical systems
- Making sure every install meets NEC and AHJ requirements and passes inspection the first time
- Running daily JSA meetings and weekly toolbox talks, and coordinating with inspectors and other trades
- Anticipating what the job needs (materials, tools, manpower) before it becomes a problem
- Keeping every site clean, organized, and professional
Who We're Looking For: You take ownership. When it's your job, it finishes on schedule without cutting quality, and nobody has to chase you for updates. You hold a high standard for your own work, and you expect the same from your crew.
Beyond that:
- Valid Colorado Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license (required)
- 5+ years of residential electrical experience, service and/or construction
- Proven ability to lead jobs and crews with minimal supervision
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and code
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
- High school diploma or GED, with solid math skills
- Valid driver's license with an insurable record, reliable transportation, and able to drive in all weather
- Mostly daytime work with flexibility for overtime or special schedules when a project calls for it, plus occasional overnight travel for jobs up to 5 hours out
- Able to handle physical work: lifting 50-100 lbs, ladders and lifts, indoors and out, including extreme temperatures
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen & background check
- Authorized to work in the United States
How to Apply:
Apply below and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. The first conversation is with people who actually know the trade, not a screening bot.
If you want to run residential work for a shop where the standard is the standard, this is your shop.
