ABOUT CLIMATE BOSS We’re a private-equity backed, AI-driven HVAC start-up on a mission to dominate neighborhood service and replacement in Central Texas. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential HVAC Technician to service the Austin area. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong diagnostic abilities, sales acumen, and the ability to manage service operations efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of various residential HVAC systems.
- Conduct in-home diagnostics and effectively communicate repair and replacement options to homeowners.
- Present and sell service repairs and new system installations to customers in a professional and consultative manner.
- Manage the scheduling and execution of service appointments using scheduling software.
- Maintain accurate service records, quotes, and job details through CRM or job management software.
- Assist in the development and updating of pricing tools and service menus.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while upholding company standards.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent communication, cleanliness, and professionalism.
MUST-HAVES:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential HVAC installation and service.
- Proven customer-facing sales experience, with the ability to explain and sell technical solutions clearly.
- Proficiency with scheduling and service management software (Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or similar).
- Experience in building and updating pricing tools or software.
- Comfort reading & tracking KPIs (care about your close rate and revenue generation).
- Ability to collaborate and partner with sales lead lockstep
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to self-manage daily responsibilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) preferred.
- Experience building or maintaining a flat-rate pricebook
- Familiarity with Zoho CRM or other sales pipelines
- Heat-pump or mini-split install experience
- Spanish/English bilingual
