Our painters perform a variety of tasks such as assembling scaffolding, surface preparation, sanding down old paint, filling in drywall holes, mixing paint colors, and painting homes and businesses. The ideal candidate should be comfortable talking with clients to understand their needs. Responsibilities: • Use job specifications to mix and match paint and stains • Treat painted surfaces with primer or sealer • Protect trim, floors, fixtures, and furniture from paint using drop cloths and covers • Repair small drywall patches • Maintain a neat and tidy work area Qualifications: • Strong communication skills, time management skills and attention to detail • 2+ years work experience and completed apprenticeship is preferred, but not required • A high school diploma or GED is preferred • Physical strength, stamina to stand for long periods of time, and dexterity is required • Experience with painting tools and techniques is a big plus, but we are willing to train on the job for motivated candidates • Must live within 50 miles of Auburn Hills, Michigan, to be considered for this position • Minimum 1-2 years of professional painting experience (residential and/or commercial preferred) • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and proper use of brushes, rollers, and sprayers • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and scaffolding • Experience with drywall patching, sanding, caulking, taping, and priming surfaces • Understanding of different paint types and finishes, including interior/exterior applications • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship • Ability to follow job site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work independently or as part of a team • Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and coworkers • Willingness to work a consistent full-time schedule year-round Compensation: $38,000 - $52,000 yearly
