Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Residential Porter to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of a portfolio of Manhattan walk-up residential properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and custodial tasks to ensure a safe, attractive, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff. Duties

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across residential facilities.

Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Assist with custodial tasks related to building maintenance, including light repairs and upkeep of common areas.

Support facilities maintenance by addressing minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management.

Carry out residential painting projects as needed to enhance property appearance.

Utilize commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently to ensure thorough cleaning of all assigned areas.

Maintain safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries.

Support industrial or specialized cleaning projects when required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services, or facilities maintenance is preferred.

Skills in floor care, buffing, commercial cleaning, residential painting, and industrial cleaning are highly desirable.

Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently or as part of a team.

Prior porter experience or similar roles in residential or commercial settings is a plus.
