Key Responsibilities: • Manage finances for a portfolio of commercial and residential rental properties. • Monitor property income and expenses, including rent, late fees, and utility bills. • Process payables, such as taxes, mortgage payments, and vendor invoices, using specialized software (Appfolio). • Process receivables using the same specialized software (Appfolio). We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual. Your responsibilities will include overseeing property expenses and processing tenant payments. You will also deliver exceptional customer service to property owners and tenants by addressing their daily needs. This role offers stability and a supportive, friendly work environment. Please note: This is not a remote job. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records for Philadelphia rental properties using AppFolio. • Record daily transactions quickly and ensure compliance with laws related to security deposits. • Process receivables and payables efficiently, posting payments and management fees each month. • Address tenant delinquencies proactively and explain charges and credits clearly to tenants and landlords. • Review all accounts thoroughly for accuracy, manage utility bill payments as necessary, and record annual real estate tax payments promptly. • Keep detailed tenant records and provide the necessary reports for owners. Qualifications: • Experience with AppFolio or similar systems, along with proficiency in key accounting software, is essential for this position. • We value meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and adaptability. Candidates should have prior experience in bookkeeping, property management, management accounting, or related fields. • Key skills for this role include strong time management, effective problem-solving abilities, and clear communication. • Familiarity with Google Workspaces, MS Word, Excel, and property management software is advantageous. • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced industry is crucial. • Practical communication skills are essential when interacting with both residents and staff, and a friendly, professional telephone manner is necessary. Experience in real estate is a plus. Compensation: $45,000 - $52,000 yearly
