In the role of Residential Generator Sales Specialist, you will conduct virtual and on-site sales meetings for home standby generators, aiming to provide outstanding customer service and stimulate sales expansion. This position comes with a base pay plus commission, along with a full benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance along with an employer-matching 401K, employee discounts, paid time off, and paid holidays.
Schedule: The schedule for this position varies, as it will depend on the availability of the customer/client. This will include some evenings as well as weekends. Local travel is required in this role as you will travel to and from customers’ homes in the Wausau and Green Bay regions of Wisconsin.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with the Support Team to schedule and conduct virtual and in-home sales consultations from Generac and Adams leads for all standby products, maintaining a closing rate of 50% or higher.
Update Generac Opportunities status within one day of any status change.
Accurately record and maintain the Adams Quote Log, documenting quotes, costs, sales, and lead sources daily
Develop professional skills by staying informed about product updates, technical information, industry standards, and applicable laws and codes.
Review and prepare for generator installations, ensuring all necessary documents are ready for scheduling and installation.
Ensure availability of all non-stock products required for project installations
Assist customers in the Adams Showroom, providing exceptional customer service.
Participate in all trade shows, including setup and teardown of booths.
Staff the tradeshow booth, record leads, and follow up on all opportunities.
Set up and manage booths in big box stores, ensuring a strong presence and engagement with customers.
Dedicate time to working within big box stores, interacting with customers, and driving sales.
Record leads from big box stores and provide detailed follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and sales conversion. Update status of each lead in big box portals.
Demonstrate and communicate the value of Adams Generators to potential customers within these stores.
Minimum Education and Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in inside or outside sales, preferably with at-home consultation experience.
