Job Summary

We are seeking a professional Executive Protection / Residential Security Officer to support the safety, privacy, and daily operations of a private residence. In this role, you will provide a visible, concierge-level security presence; control access to the property; monitor for suspicious activity; and respond calmly and decisively to incidents and emergencies. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and a high degree of integrity and discretion at all times.

Responsibilities

· Provide protective coverage at a private residence, maintaining a professional, low-profile presence while ensuring safety and privacy.

· Conduct interior/exterior patrols; identify and report hazards, vulnerabilities, and suspicious behavior.

· Manage access control: verify identities, screen visitors/vendors/deliveries, and enforce property access procedures.

· Monitor CCTV/alarms and other security systems; document and escalate concerns per post orders.

· Coordinate with principals, household staff, property management, and vendors to support safe daily operations.

· Respond to incidents (trespassers, disturbances, alarms, medical emergencies) using de-escalation and appropriate use-of-force guidelines; request law enforcement/EMS when needed.

· Maintain detailed shift logs, incident reports, and visitor/activity records with clear, objective writing.

· Support security readiness by checking gates/doors/locks, lighting, and perimeter integrity; recommend improvements when observed.

· Maintain confidentiality regarding principals, schedules, residence layout, and security procedures.

Qualifications

Required Licenses / Credentials (California)

· Current California BSIS Guard Card (required).

· Current California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit (required).

· Valid driver’s license and ability to drive on duty (required); must maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

Additional Requirements

· Ability to work assigned shifts, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

· Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) to coordinate with staff, visitors, and emergency responders and to complete written reports.

· Willingness to undergo job-related screening, including verification of credentials and a background check, as permitted by law.

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries in a private-residence environment.

Physical / Work Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct foot patrols indoors and outdoors.

· Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly to changing situations.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to work in varying weather conditions when conducting exterior patrols.
