  • Responsibilities

We are seeking strong, professional, and highly vigilant Residential Security Officers for a high-traffic residential property in East New York, Brooklyn. This is an active security post that requires foot patrols, access control, visibility, deterrence, and strong community engagement.

This role is not for someone looking for a quiet or stationary post. Officers must be prepared to walk the property, monitor activity, manage access through one main entrance and exit point, and maintain a strong but respectful security presence throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate is disciplined, dependable, alert, physically capable of active patrols, and able to communicate professionally with residents, visitors, youth, vendors, and management. We are looking for officers who understand that residential security is not only about enforcement — it is also about communication, de-escalation, mentorship, professionalism, and helping improve the culture and safety of the property.

    Key Responsibilities

Maintain a strong, visible security presence throughout the residential property

Conduct regular foot patrols of the lobby, entrances, exits, hallways, stairwells, mailroom, common areas, exterior areas, and other assigned locations

Monitor one main entrance and exit point and follow all access control procedures

Verify residents, guests, visitors, vendors, and contractors according to post orders

Deter loitering, trespassing, vandalism, unsafe behavior, unauthorized access, and policy violations

Monitor youth-related activity with patience, confidence, professionalism, and good judgment

Use de-escalation and clear communication when addressing conflicts or disruptive behavior

Engage respectfully with residents while maintaining professional boundaries

Help discourage negative activity through visibility, consistency, professionalism, and relationship-building

Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, unauthorized access, incidents, and unusual activity

Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports

Follow company policy, post orders, management instructions, and emergency procedures

Communicate with supervisors and property management as needed

Remain alert, active, and engaged throughout the full shift

    Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has a strong presence but also knows how to connect with people. We are looking for someone who can be firm without being disrespectful, visible without being intimidating, and professional while still being approachable.

This position is best suited for someone who believes in community-based security, mentorship, coaching, and helping transform the atmosphere of a property. The right officer will understand how to build trust while maintaining boundaries, enforcing rules, and protecting the property.
