    Position Overview We're seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across a range of smart technology systems and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment serving both residential and commercial clients.

    Responsibilities

    Install, program, and troubleshoot home automation systems (Control4, Lutron, and similar platforms)

    Design and install custom home theater systems, including audio/video calibration

    Install and configure security and surveillance systems (cameras, alarms, monitoring)

    Run and terminate structured network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber)

    Install and program access control systems

    Set up and configure Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone systems

    Install and integrate automated shading systems

    Read and interpret architectural/electrical plans for pre-wire and trim-out phases

    Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites

    Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other trades on-site

    Qualifications

    2+ years of experience in low voltage installation (residential and/or commercial)

    Working knowledge of Control4, Lutron, Sonos, or similar platforms preferred

    Experience with structured cabling standards and best practices

    Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, troubleshooting)

    Comfortable working at heights, in attics/crawlspaces, and using standard hand/power tools

    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Preferred (not required)

    Manufacturer certifications (Control4, Lutron, etc.)

    Low voltage license (California C-7 or ability to obtain)
