HVAC (Air Conditioning/heating) Apprentice Program Residential Heating and Air is now accepting applications for our 2024 apprentice program. Our apprentice program is designed to teach HVAC in a fast-paced and condensed time period. Applicants will have the privilege of learning the fundamentals of HVAC, as well as, hands-on training with real working HVAC units being used as teaching tools. The course will be taught by an experienced service technician with many years of experience, not just a teacher who has never worked in the field! We compress what trade schools teach (at a snail’s pace) for two years, into a two-month course, where we focus on real-world applications and skills students can use on everyday service calls. Upon completion of the class portion, graduates will be paired up with a seasoned technician to further their knowledge through on-the-job/in-the-field training. This will include such things as being able to perform a diagnostic on a unit, learning what to say to customers, how to utilize in-the-field equipment and technology, and How to make common repairs, along with the more difficult ones. This allows the apprentice (student) to always have a mentor with them so they can ask questions and begin to use the skills they were taught in class on real service calls. This hands-on approach allows a safe and guided expansion of the apprentice’s education with each and every service call- all the while gaining confidence. All graduates are guaranteed a job with Residential Heating and Air. The apprentice program is free and students can earn as they learn. Once students pass their class portion and are assigned to a tech (mentor) they will be paid to learn on the job. This is an excellent way for someone to learn a trade without spending money on trade school tuition or incurring expensive student loans on a 4-year college degree. It is our sincere goal to award each student with an education, a job, and a new career with our Residential Heating and Air family! We have found over the years that the best techs are the ones we hired with no experience and allowed them to grow with the company. It is like planting seeds, in hopes they sprout and eventually yield great fruit! So, if you are tired of having a job you cannot grow in, you do not have the money for college, or you simply do not want to wait to learn a career and start making money, this may be for you. Residential Heating and Air is a family-owned company and we follow strong ethical/moral principles. We treat each employee like family and we want to surround ourselves with like-minded people. If you think this might be for you, please respond to this ad, and let’s schedule an interview. Where else are you going to get paid to learn a career?
