    Job Description

     Candidate will be a valued member of the cell culture development team, focused on process development for recombinant protein and monoclonal antibody products. In addition to supporting traditional fed-batch processes, specific emphasis will be placed on supporting RESILIENCE’s emerging continuous processing platforms.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

    The candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for both client-facing process development project work as well as internal platform and technology development in the cell culture area. Specific responsibilities will include:

    ·       Performing cell culture process development work, including development of RESILIENCE’s fed-batch and perfusion platform processes for monoclonal antibody production. Duties will include:

    o   Passaging cells

    o   Creating and testing cell banks

    o   Operating mammalian cell culture bioreactors

    o   Media and buffer preparation, cleaning and other support tasks

    o   Analytical work to support operations (i.e., cell counts, metabolite and titer analysis, spent media analysis, etc.)

    o   Documenting experimental procedures and performing data analysis

    o   Other process development-related tasks

    ·       Maintain and foster a safe and compliant working environment

    ·       Assist with organizing and streamlining work activities, including

    o   Ensuring adequate and appropriate inventory of materials and supplies

    o   Ensuring equipment is appropriately maintained and calibrated

    o   Supporting design, procurement and testing of PD equipment

    o   Ensuring documentation and data management practices are followed

    ·       Support collaborations with customers, technology developers and suppliers

    Overall, support RESILIENCE and the Biologics franchise to achieve its objectives.

     

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering, Cell Biology or related scientific or engineering discipline

    0-3+ years relevant industrial experience

    Understanding of cell culture methods; aseptic technique; bio/chemical analytical methods; operation of mechanical and computerized equipment

    Strong interpersonal, and communication skills
