As the Senior Software Engineer, you will provide full-stack development capabilities to the team with particular expertise in back-end development. You will participate in the team’s Agile processes and report to the development lead. You will also stay abreast of relevant Web application development technologies and techniques. Additionally, you will:
- Build multi-tenant, scalable web applications and services using primarily Vue and Laravel
- Build multi-tenant, multi-channel marketing automation platform
- Work with a CI/CD pipeline utilizing containerization
- Develop unit and automated tests
- Build and maintain WordPress plugins
- Maintain Drupal modules
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
- At least 2 years of experience developing Web applications using PHP on a LAMP stack
- Strong framework experience with Laravel or similar
- Strong knowledge of HTTP, REST, and AJAX and common API interactions for authentication and data exchange
- Proficiency with build and configuration management tools such as Composer
- Confident use of basic team Git workflows
- Experience using PHPUnit to develop unit tests
- Experience building command line applications
- Experience understanding and working with third-party system APIs to implement integrations
- Demonstrated experience developing user interfaces for Web applications
- Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 sufficient to work with existing code and rough out new interface components
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript/EcmaScript 6 and frameworks such as Vue
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing basic relational database structure
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Experience working with Content Management Systems and extending them through modules/plugins
- Experience with modern Web application architectures, development processes, and tools
- Experience improving processes and building reusable and scalable solutions
- Ability to operate at an independently functional level to complete development, testing, and deployment tasks in Mac, Microsoft Windows, and Unix environments
- Commitment to team success and continuous learning
- Demonstrated versatility staying current with evolving web application development techniques and technologies
- Ability to go into detail about the application of a familiar, relevant technology, framework, or language to demonstrate expertise
- Ability to articulate reasons for choices made or patterns followed
- Strong knowledge of Vuex or similar state management in modern JavaScript web application frameworks
