As the Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will inspire, lead, and deliver engineering innovations to fuel business growth and provide strong technical leadership for data engineering practices. You will be a technical consultant to development teams and partner with business and business system teams to define long-term architectural vision, business and technical architecture roadmaps, and enterprise guidelines and standards. You will also assist the business in technology requests and vendor evaluations, perform buy vs. build analysis, and promote the use of shared cloud platforms and services. Additionally, you will keep up to date with technology innovation, industry standards, architectural trends, and major technical vendors and provide thought leadership around software architecture.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• At least 8 years of experience as a technical advisor on cloud engineering, architectures, reusable/patterns, governance, delivery product, and vendor evaluations
• At least 10 years of experience with software development or application engineering in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented language
• Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or a related area
• Experience with POC/build enterprise assets like enterprise logging and observability systems
• Experience with information technology standards, procedures, and policy
• Experience architecting and automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools
• Experience architecting cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy (AWS), and/or GitLab
• Architectural leadership experience with microservices and distributed applications such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices
• Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional appearance and presentation style
• Ability to clearly convey information and ideas with all levels of the organization
• Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with proven problem resolution skills and process improvement techniques
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize projects, accept responsibility, and follow through without close supervision
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects
• Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced and high stress environment
• Ability to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions and recommendations
• Ability to monitor and evaluate associate performance, establish work priorities, delegate tasks, and train associates in proper policies, procedures, and practices
• Business management and leadership skills with proven ability to lead and develop a team
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
