As the Technical Analyst, you will work with a team-centric IT team to service the Risk Solutions Business Unit. You will formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of the applicable business solutions and requirements. You will also lead requirements gathering sessions with business unit and end users and document end user requirements for data capture, program functions, data quality, reports and analysis, and training. Additionally, you will:

• Perform detailed data validation in SQL Server and Oracle databases
• Perform analysis for production support of systems and applications
• Utilize excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and communicate underlying issues and coordinate resolutions
• Analyze, identify, and write detailed description of system requirements
• Exhibit strong business knowledge and build strong customer relationships
• Ensure open flow of communication between the business and IT
• Respond in a timely manner to requests and assist in managing a backlog
• Assist in the prioritization of requests to ensure the most critical projects are completed
• Lead small to moderately complex projects
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as testing and validation of solutions

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• SQL experience and knowledge of relational databases
• XML knowledge
• Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of business information data sources and business data rules
• Proven strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills
• Ability to train and perform product demonstrations to business users
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of attention to detail, strong planning and organizing skills, and the ability to meet deadlines

Great Additional Skills:

• EDW and FDW database experience
• Scrum/Agile experience
