As the Java Developer, you will configure and implement a new solution, which will encompass configuration of a vendor solution, building out integrations with existing eco-system, and developing and integrating custom components to provide the business with the necessary functionality to manage and grow their business. You will analyze, design, develop, test, debug, maintain, and document system components, services and integrations. You will also assist in the assessment and direction of technology to meet business strategy. Additionally, you will:

• Perform maintenance and problem resolution on software application
• Contribute to the development of project plans and timelines
• Manage builds, branching, and other aspects of source code control, implementing or utilizing Dev Ops strategies
• Participate in release planning and deployments
• Participate in test planning, development, and execution for integration and system testing
• Learn new software tools and skills as needed
• Collaborate with end users and project team members on development of requirements, design, and testing of applications
• Mentor and guide others

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
• Strong application development foundation
• Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
• Self-directed
• Experience balancing and prioritizing multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines
• Strong sense of personal accountability
• Passionate about continuously improving organizational practices
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in the following technical skills:
  • Languages: Java, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Databases: RDBMS (Microsoft SQL Server preferred), No-SQL a plus
  • IDE: IntelliJ, Visual Studio/VS Code
  • Frameworks: Spring, modular JavaScript framework
  • Source code versioning and change management practices utilizing Git or TFS

Great Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with paired programming
• Familiarity with test-driven development
