As the Data Center Engineer, you will troubleshoot network, server, and storage issues. You will use a ticketing system to create, update, and resolve tickets. You will also install and maintain network, server, and storage equipment. Additionally, you will:

• Maintain detailed data center documentation
• Adhere strictly to change management policies and procedures
• Interact with onsite and remote vendors for hardware replacement, delivery, and diagnostics
• Participate in on-call rotation, including onsite off-peak hours maintenance

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• At least 3 years of experience working in a production data center
• Top secret clearance
• Ability to rack and build cable network, server, and storage equipment
• Familiarity with network cabling standards and transceivers
• Basic knowledge of server hardware components
• Familiarity with power budget calculations and power balancing
• Understanding of data center design in regard to airflow (hot and cold aisle containment)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with data center logistics, asset management, and DCIM tools
• Ability to travel

Great Additional Skills:

• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following hardware platforms: Dell, Cisco, NetApp, Juniper
