As the Associate Facility Security Officer, you will provide expertise, guidance, and advice to personnel as required, concerning all security administrative functions in support of a NISP compliant Security Department. You will process personnel security clearances via the e-QIP system, maintain records, understand the intelligence community and access requests, administer security awareness training programs, and prepare visit requests. You will also ensure all personnel with badge access to the facility have completed all requirements for that access. Additionally, you will:

• Manage the personnel security clearance (PCL) process for a large amount of clients
• Provide guidance and support to company FSOs and JPAS users regarding the PCL process and general compliance
• Verify eligibility of potential candidates for hire (JPAS)
• Initiate clearance investigations for new employees and initiate Periodic Reinvestigations in (JPAS)
• Be responsible for managing personnel information and updating SIMMs record
• Provide support for all security functions in accordance with the NISPOM, ICD, and DCID to include managing approximately 200 PCLs associated with collateral and SCI programs
• Review all security paperwork for accuracy, completion, and submission via the e-QIP system
• Provide guidance and instruction to employees to ensure completion of security paperwork
• Establish and maintain a working relationship with DSS in filing necessary clearance paperwork for new employees and periodic reviews for current employees
• Maintain a working relationship with each contract's security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances
• Provide follow-up clearance status on processed clearances to managers for specific contracts
• Write security policies/procedures and prepare written reports of surveys and inspections
• Maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with DSS requirements
• Prepare necessary paperwork in support of a DSS investigation or annual visit and meet with DSS representative upon request
• Be responsible for the JPAS PSM Net
• Conduct random inspections of the facility and personnel entering and exiting

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR 10+ years of experience
• Awareness of present-day security issues
• In-depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and experience with DSS
• Experience working in an accredited Secure Facility
• Experience with JPAS and the e-QIP database systems
• Experience in the preparation and review of DD254 forms
• Strong organizational and administrative skills along with proficient computer skills
• US citizenship with a current TS/SCI security clearance and full-scope polygraph
• CISSP and/or ISP certification a plus
