As the Application Security Specialist, you will design and implement an effective developer training plan covering secure design principles, secure coding, and secure code review in C, C++, Java, Python, and Go, and how these principles can be applied to web and non-web applications. You will also design and advise on strategies for seamlessly implementing secure code review practices into a CI/CD SDLC.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• Experience testing development frameworks using one or more of the following languages: Java, C#, JavaScript, Go, Python, Swift, Kotlin, Ruby, TypeScript, C, C++, Rust, Objective-C, or Scala
• Understanding of cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and patterns such as microservices and cloud-native systems
• Ability to explain technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to collaborate and work directly with security and software teams to enhance the security posture of their systems
• Passion for exploring software and identifying ways to attack and defend it
• Experience performing web application security assessments including manual source code reviews and dynamic/hybrid testing
• Proficiency with security frameworks (NIST 800-53, ISO 27002, COBIT)
• Proficiency with cloud security frameworks (FedRAMP, Cloud Control Matrix)
• Knowledge of risk modeling methodologies (CIA, FIPS 199)
• Strong understanding of application threats and their mitigations
• Extensive knowledge of security assessment methods and techniques
• Proficiency with threat modeling methodologies
• Ability to describe potential security vulnerabilities to engineers lacking a security background
• Proficiency with Python, Ruby, Go, or Java

Great Additional Skills:

• Proficiency with C++
• Penetration testing or other security background
