As the Associate Desktop Services Tech, you will provide direct technical support to computer system users with direction. You will set up equipment for employee use and perform or ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. You will also install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. Additionally, you will:

• Answer complex and difficult questions to resolve computer problems for clients
• Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, VPN connectivity, electronic mail, and operating systems
• Provide desk side support for end users
• Conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support
• Determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter systems

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• At least 2 years of experience
• High school or secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, PC hardware, and desktop application products
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on a desktop platform
• Strong customer service communication skills
• Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
