As the Senior ServiceNow Developer/Administrator, you will design, develop, and support the core ServiceNow platform. You will work with customers, end-users, and business analysts to understand their mission, current architecture, and security requirements. You will also work as a member of the development team to design and deliver solutions to meet customer needs. Additionally, you will:
- Analyze/understand business challenges, requests, and project goals; map current business processes to the new system or service; determine interface requirements; and resolve any issues which may affect the business process
- Maintain platform configurations including but not limited to LDAP, SAML 2, email, security settings, business rules, and User Interface actions
- Develop processes and applications on the ServiceNow platform that will provide operational and tactical business value for clients
- Develop requirements and user stories through knowledge of ITIL Configuration Management, Change Management, Release Management, CMDB, and IT Operations Management process using Agile development methodology to support ServiceNow
- Coordinate with other IT specialists and management to identify and correct unusual or unprecedented problems
- Provide system account management adds, deletes, and updates of user groups and roles across various organizations and applications within the IT Service Management (ITSM) system
- Serve as an advisor to lower-graded IT specialists
- Recognize and identify processes and procedures for efficiencies, and provide recommendations and assistance to process owners to enable process improvement
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
- At least 1 year of progressive GS-11 experience managing a diverse custom application portfolio utilizing ServiceNow
- Strong understanding of development languages such as JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS Webservices API (SOAP or REST), PowerShell, JSON, and XML
- Experience in functional testing using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework and Scrum Development Framework
- Experience with IT project planning and/or management
