    We're looking for an active, customer-focused team player with exceptional business development skills to join our resort. You'll be tasked with soliciting new accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets via outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. This energetic business development person will be able to enhance revenue by researching market trends and competition behavior to discover and close business leads. This is the ideal role for someone who enjoys selling and finding business and wants the freedom to travel and be remote-based. We are searching for a true go-getter focused on developing sales leads for association, group, corporate, and retreat business. This position can be based anywhere in the Northeast, but preferably in Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Massachusetts. This is a 100% commission-based position. Remote-based with travel. Responsibilities: • Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network • Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads • Attend various industry tradeshows and conferences as a professional representative of the hotel, while adhering to the budget and marketing plan requirements • Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share Qualifications: • Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired • 3 or more years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality • This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role • Demonstrated exceptional social, verbal, and negotiating abilities • Good organization and time management skills
