SUMMARY
Responsible for the concrete and construction aggregate sales process, including identifying new business, generating and pursuing leads, and servicing existing customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote safety at all times per company policies.
- Provides solutions to customers and alleviates concerns "in the field" through thorough investigation and problem-solving skills
- Identifies new markets and targets specific accounts and prospects to meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Develops new applications to maximize customer value and company profitability
- Leverages marketplace feedback to communicate and support the development of new products and services with technical experts and management team.
- Has a comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products, services, and policies.
- Analyzes market-based on key drivers and recommends direction to manager accordingly
- Provides product quotes to customers as required
- Provides technical assistance to meet customer needs.
- Meet or exceed budgeted sales volume, average selling price, and profitability goals.
- Professionally represent the company at industry, trade association, customer, legislative and technical meetings and various social and business functions.
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of sales experience; previous experience selling aggregate and concrete sales preferred.
- Able to deal with the public, staff, neighbors, and management in a positive, courteous and respectful manner
- Knowledge of software systems such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Construction Materials and related industries
- Independent problem solver who works well in a team environment
