Respiratory Therapist (Allied Health)

Shift Type: 12-Hour Nights
Assignment Duration: 13+ Weeks (with possible extension)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across all age groups, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilators and oxygen therapy as prescribed by physicians.
· Monitor and evaluate patients’ respiratory status, documenting all care and changes accurately.
· Respond promptly to emergency situations, including Code Blue and Rapid Response events.
· Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function testing.
· Assist in the care of patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory support.
· Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and home equipment use when necessary.
· Maintain equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness according to hospital and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
· Active Respiratory Therapist License in the state of Georgia (or Compact License if applicable).
· RRT or CRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
· BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS or NRP preferred).
· Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
· Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time management skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
· Competitive hourly pay: $50–$54/hr (W2)
