Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Night Shift – Guaranteed 36 Hours

Schedule:

• Assignment Dates: June 2, 2025 – August 30, 2025

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (30-minute break)

• Days: Every Sunday (plus additional shifts to fulfill 36-hour weekly guarantee)

Job Description:

We’re seeking a reliable and experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This is a contract position with a guaranteed 36 hours per week, offering competitive pay and the opportunity to work in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols

• Monitor, assess, and treat patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders

• Operate ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and other respiratory equipment

• Work collaboratively with nursing and medical staff to provide excellent patient care

• Document all treatments and patient progress accurately

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license (RT) in Virginia

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent RT experience, preferably in a hospital setting

• Ability to commit to scheduled Sunday shifts and meet the weekly hour guarantee

• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
