Job Title: Respite Youth Care Worker

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision, care, and a nurturing environment for youth in a respite care setting.
- Develop positive relationships with young individuals to foster trust and companionship.
- Engage in activities that promote emotional, social, and physical well-being.
- Support youth in developing independent living skills and achieving personal goals.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to plan and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided, as well as any incidents or observations.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering to all organizational policies and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the youth's well-being.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with youth in a care or support setting is a strong asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the youth and the program.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire and Mandated Reporters Training

- Background check clearance as per organizational and state requirements.
