A Restaurant Chef prepares and cooks food items, ensuring high quality and consistency according to established recipes and standards. They are responsible for various tasks including preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. This position supports the Executive Sous and Executive Chef will kitchen supervision. Responsibilities: • Cooks utilize various cooking methods (grilling, frying, baking, etc.) to prepare menu items according to recipes. • Maintaining consistency in taste and presentation is crucial, requiring strict adherence to established recipes. • Cooks must maintain a clean and sanitary work area, following health and safety guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses. • This involves using various kitchen equipment like ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors. • Monitoring food supplies and potentially assisting with ordering new stock is often part of the role. • Cooks collaborate with other kitchen staff, including chefs, servers, and other cooks, to ensure smooth and efficient service. • Ultimately, cooks contribute to the overall customer experience by delivering high-quality food and maintaining high standards.
