You should enjoy welcoming guests to our establishment and guiding them to an appropriate table, ensuring that it is cleared, and clean. Make sure there are enough seats for everyone. You’ll need a friendly, courteous manner to answer phone calls and make accurate reservations for guests. Responsibilities: • Greet guests warmly as they enter to create a positive first impression of the restaurant • Lead all guests to their seats, ensuring they all have a place to sit, proper glass and tableware, filled water glasses, and menus • Assist with clearing plates off tables and getting tables ready for the next guests • Handle booking of reservations, be quick to solve seating problems, and troubleshoot any phone inquiries from customers • Monitor the dining room for tidiness, ensure all tables and chairs are organized, and that condiments are restocked when needed Qualifications: • Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required • Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills, as well as the ability to deal with customer requests in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner • Must be able to handle a fast-paced atmosphere with periods of standing on feet for an extended length of time • This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a good command of the English language Compensation: $15 - $16 hourly
