The Restaurant Host is the first and last point of contact for guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience upon arrival and departure. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant.
- Manage waitlists and reservations accurately using the reservation system or manual waitlist.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Communicate wait times effectively to guests.
- Monitor dining room, entryway, and overall guest flow to maintain an efficient seating plan.
- Assist servers by refilling waters, clearing plates, or resetting tables when needed.
- Answer the phone promptly and professionally to take reservations or provide information.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, menus, and entrance area.
- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous host, cashier, or customer service experience is a plus.
