About the Role:

Bertie's Restaurant is looking for a warm, welcoming Hostess to be the first face guests see when they walk through our doors! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic front-of-house team in Brandon, FL, where great food meets exceptional hospitality. Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner upon arrival

Manage reservations and waitlists using seating management systems - Open Table

Escort guests to their tables and present menus

Monitor dining room flow and communicate wait times accurately

Answer incoming phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries

Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth table turnover

Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area

Requirements:

Prior hosting, customer service, or front-of-house restaurant experience preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment

Positive, outgoing personality with a guest-first attitude

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player
