Job Summary:
Here at R & R Breakfast Spot we’re looking for a reliable breakfast line cook to join our fast-paced restaurant team. If you work well under pressure, move with purpose, and take pride in putting out great food quickly, this could be a good fit.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and mixing, and ensure all food items are
ready for cooking.
· Cooking: Cook breakfast items using various methods such as grilling, frying, and sautéing, following
recipes and presentation standards.
· Station Management: Set up and stock the cooking station with necessary supplies and maintain
cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
· Quality Control: Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet the restaurant's
standards before serving.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including the head chef, to ensure timely and
efficient meal service.
· Inventory Management: Assist in inventory checks and notify management when supplies are
running low with daily report to Restaurant Team Lead.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
· Manage multiple, concurrent and conflicting priorities and deadlines.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of customers and staff during your role.
· Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods, with a strong understanding of food safety
and sanitation practices.
· Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
· Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and respond to customer needs.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Experience as a line cook or breakfast cook required.
Education and Experience:
· 2-4 years of fast paced restaurant experience
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
